The top model was stitched on 40-Count Ink Spot Black from R&R
Reproductions using one strand of Needlepoint Silk. The stitch count is 73
wide by 56 high. Lisa Duffin expertly finished our pincushion and complete

The second model was stitched on 40-Count Vintage Fawn from
Lakeside Linens using one strand of Needlepoint Silk. The same border is
used in the model above. Complete instructions are provided for finishing.

Quaker Christmas Samplers
The top model was stitched on 40-Count Sienna Night from
Lakeside Linens using one strand of Needlepoint Silk's Northern Lights in
Midnight (#005). The stitch count is 171 wide by 75 high. The frame
was provided by Primitive Traditions.
(NPI's Midnight most resembles NPI #926 or DMC #3750)
The second model was stitched on 40-Count Autumn Gold from
Lakeside Linens using one strand of Needlepoint Silk #327. The stitch
count is 187 wide by 56 high. This frame was also provided by Primitive

A whimsical sampler with lots of colors, this design was
inspired by Buttons and Sally, our dogs who used to love to hang out in the
garden with me.

A Haunting Mermaid
Our Haunting Mermaid is stitched on 40-Count Meadow Rue from
Lakeside Linens using AVAS in these colors: Noir, 4142, 4526, 3816, 3841, 3411,
3824 and 2245. The Stitch Count is 186 wide by 127 high. The beads
are from Mill Hill and we used these colors: Royal Pearl, Flat Black, Root Beer,
Desert Sand, Victorian Gold. One small packet of each color is plenty.
NOTE: I've provided motifs to put in the upper section should you choose not to
do the beading.

Fleur
This is Liz's design, inspired by her love of France.
Liz stitched her sampler on 38 count cream Graziano from Norden

Matter's Choice
Matter's Choice is the name that was given to my house when it
was built in 1853 by George Matter and his wife.
There are two versions of Matter's Choice. The larger
sampler is worked on 40-Count Autumn Gold from Lakeside Linens using Needlepoint
Silk 928 (two skeins will be needed). The stitch count is 155 wide
by 151 high and the frame is available from Primitive Traditions.
The smaller version is worked on :
40-Count Ink Spot Black from R&R Reproductions using Needlepoint Silk 765.
One skein will be plenty on 40-count linen, two skeins will probably be needed
on a larger count. The stitch count is 112 wide by 91 high and the frame
is available from Hog River.

Quaker Stocking
I've done two versions of our Quaker Stocking - one in browns
and one in blues.
The brown stocking was stitched on 40-Count Woodsmoke from
Lakeside Linens using Needlepoint Silk in 587, 692, and 316.
The blue stocking was stitched on 40-Count Meadow Rue from
Lakeside Linens using Needlepoint Silk in 323, 328 and 694.
The stitch count is 447 high by 172 wide and a quarter yard of
linen will be sufficient.

The Houses of Hawk Run Hollow
This design was inspired by Christy Reling. Christy even
stitched a model! I've used an old verse which I've always loved:
When I am dead and in my grave, and all my bones are rotten, remember me when
this you see list I should be forgotten. Remember me as you pass by, as
you are now so once was I, as I am now so must you be, prepare for death and
follow me. Love those morbid verses!
The model is stitched on 40-count Pearled Barley from Lakeside
Linens using Soie d'Alger. The frame was provided by Primitive Traditions.
Conversions to DMC and to Needlepoint Silk are provided. The stitch count
is: 369 wide by 278 high.
