For Garden Best
We did two versions of this sampler - one is stiched on 40 Count Mocha from the Blended Needle (R&R’s 18th Century Brown would be a good substitute). The other model was worked on 40 Count Ink Spot Black from R&R. Two color choices are provided as are complete finishing instructions. This is a fun way to "frame" a sampler that is quick and easy and inexpensive! The stitch count is 85 wide by 120 high.

Catherine Koller
Here's another bit of family history! Catherine Koller
(Culler) was born in Frederick County, Maryland in 1776. She died in 1866.
The Culler family farm was directly behind my family farm and when we were kids,
my brothers and sisters and I would hike through their fields. I've
stitched Catherine's sampler on 40 Count American Chestnut from R&R
Reproductions using one strand of Soie D'Alger. The stitch count is 135
wide by 107 high. Silk colors used are: 5385, 5383, 1716, 3815,
3733, 1746. Chart Price: $5.00 |

Peace & Plenty
Both samplers were stitch on 40 count Busy Bee from R&R
Reproductions, although Sheep's Straw or Antique Cotton would work just as well.
The larger sampler is inserted into a folk-y box Cathy Campbell designed.
The tiny sampler is in an antique frame. I've included an alternate chart
for the larger sampler, in case you'd prefer it not be for Christmas. The
alternate chart has Peace & Plenty for you and yours. I've used Soie D'Alger and, as
always, a conversion to DMC is provided. Silk colors used are: 4625,
Noir, 4616, 4615, 2626, 4614, 4142. The stitch count for the larger
sampler is 97 wide by 82 high and for the smaller sampler, 43 wide by 57 high.

The frame is from Primitive Traditions.
