Pears!
Now here's a project for you! And, it's not even
difficult! Complete instructions are included along with patterns to make
three sizes of wool pears and linen pears in 32 and 36 count. Miranda from
Weeks Dye Works provided me with beautiful over-dyed wool. I left one wool
pear plain, added heart appliqués to another and beaded the tiny one. Use
your imagination and decorate your pears any way you'd like. The linen
pears are stitched on all three sides using Soie D'Alger in these colors:
3821, 526, 524, 1735, 4132, 1425. I finished all these pears myself, and
it really is very easy. The leaves are 2 1/2" rose leaves by Victoria Lynn
and are available in your local craft store in packages of 12.
Wool colors used are:
#6 - Cognac 2242
#14 - Mustard 1224a
#21 - Red Pear 1332

Patty Parsley
Patty Parsley was Liz's babysitter about 15 years ago!
I've always loved her name and wanted to use it on a sampler (with her
permission of course)! This pincushion is stitched on both sides on 40
count Ink Spot Black from R&R Reproductions using Silk Mori from Kreinik.
The stitch count for each side is 113 wide by 92 high. You'll need just
three colors of Silk Mori - 3017, 7086 and 7087. Heidi Roesselet finished
my pincushion. You can contact Heidi at
hroessel@visuallink.com.
